About Craig McManus
I’m the Founder and Principal Designer for McPlants, Inc.
My philosophy is if you're not learning something new every day in this business you’re not trying.
I began my real-world education in the green industry by working for Pike Nurseries
It has been a lifetime of learning for me with 1,400+ hours of continuing education, 10+ profession certifications and designations along with a bachelor degree in business from Auburn University. The most important are the years of practical experience helping people create their outdoor dreams.
McPlants was born in 1985 as a garden center on a Rose Avenue 3 acre site located in Douglasville, Georgia. The garden center business was a good fit for my entrepreneurial desires.
The hard work paid off as our team helped new friends and neighbors succeed with their outdoor and indoor dreams.
Today McPlants is a landscape design/build organization with millions of thriving plants growing across our community, thousands of square feet of pavers and retaining walls installed, hundreds of structures built … and it is all done with useful, smart, and solid plants, products, and services.
A whole lot of time, effort and experience are applied to each landscape and garden project we undertake. Developing the custom solutions that work for you.
The whole process starts by analyzing your property then creatively applying sound horticultural, arboricultural, construction, drainage, irrigation, lighting and art principles to accomplish your dream.
Our mission never changes: We’re here to create the kind of garden you will cherish more and more every day.
